Two invitations to tender for innovative, integrated urban development

  The first invitation to tender has just been launched by Urbact, with the aim of encouraging cities to create best practice transfer networks. This invitation, open until 10 January 2018, will make it possible to finance up to 25 projects piloted by city authorities labelled by Urbact for best practices and associating other cities who wish to transfer them to their areas. Consult the Belgian contact point for Urbact.   L’initiative Actions innovatrices urbaines (UIA) ouvrira, quant à elle, son troisième appel à projets du 15 décembre 2017 au 30 mars 2018 pour un budget total compris entre 80 et 100 millions d’euros issus du Fonds européen de développement régional FEDER. Quatre thématiques de l’Agenda urbain pour l’Union européenne ont été retenues pour cette édition : l’adaptation au changement climatique, la qualité de l’air, le logement et, enfin, l’emploi et les compétences dans l’économie locale. Pour rappel, UIA cofinance à hauteur de 80% des projets pilotes d’un budget pouvant s’élever jusqu’à 5 millions d’euros permettant d’innover et de tester de nouvelles solutions aux défis liés au développement urbain durable.
