Brussels International publishes its annual report
Discover Brussels International's Annual Report 2022. This activity report presents the Brussels public service's regional expertise in structural funds, European and international relations, and the representation of the Brussels Capital Region (BCR) in the world.
The year 2022 saw several milestones that illustrated the diversity of missions at Brussels International (BI): strengthening the capacities of partner regions in terms of urban resilience, particularly in Rabat and Kinshasa; promoting global citizenship and solidarity in the BCR; participating in the State Visits to Greece and Lithuania and Expo 2020 Dubai; the first edition of the Brussels Europe Gastronomy Night, etc.
At the multilateral level, BI was fully involved in organising the Brussels Urban Summit, which took place in June 2023 in partnership with Metropolis, Eurocities and the OECD’s Mayor’s Network for Inclusive Growth.
Europe has also nestled itself into Brussels International’s DNA. Among the achievements for 2022, the BI Annual Report presents the implementation of the 2014-2020 ERDF programme, the preparation of the 2021-2027 ERDF programme, the coordination of the implementation of the Brussels projects of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and the Brexit Adjustment Reserve (BAR), as well as the preparation of the Brussels contribution to the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2024.
