Belgian EU Presidency 2024 A delegation of the Province of Sichuan visits Brussels
A high-level delegation, led by Mr Wang Yanfei, a permanent member of the Chinese Communist Party for the Province of Sichuan, visited Minister Vanhengel on Wednesday 13 September.

The purpose of the visit of the delegation of the Province of Sichuan was to discuss the continued collaboration between the Brussels-Capital Region and this large province in Western China, which also happens to be one of our region’s oldest partners (since 1995). Later in the day, Christian Lamouline, the Secretary General of the Brussels regional public service, gave a greatly appreciated speech during the opening ceremony of the first cultural festival of the Province of Sichuan in Belgium.
